My name is Joanne Fraher. Welcome to my website The Chic Cake Boutique which I established in 2014. I qualified as a chef in 2001 and after that studied a BA in Culinary Arts with pastry as my executive from GMIT.
As a pastry Chef I am extremely passionate about the type of flavour and fillings on my cake menu. I use the freshest, finest quality ingredients as well as being locally sourced (where possible). The fillings in my cakes can be anything you desire; from a smooth buttercream or a sweet creamy Belgian chocolate ganache accompanied with citrus curds, sweet conserves or delicate caramels. I design wedding cakes tailored to your specification from concept to delivery. Cakes vary from elegantly traditional to completely contemporary. I uniquely design all my cakes, exclusively for you on your special day.
In 2008, I completed a course in Artistic Chocolate at Ecoile Gastronomique Bellouet Conseil in Paris. While in 2011 I completed another course in Sugar paste, Royal icing, sugar flowers.
I have won several awards for my work including Bronze at Sodexho salon culinaire; In addition, I received highly commended and commended at Cork Sugarcraft Association Exhibition.
I am approved by the HSE and fully insured.
The Chic cake Boutique is compliant with EU Food Safety Legislation. I also hold certification from The National Hygiene Partnership for Management of Food Hygiene, Training and Development. And finally certification in Manual Handling.
